Who is that stunning model???

Usually not having a foot model for a photo shoot would come as a big problem (for a shoe shoot!), but not us! Lori has always been involved in everything we do, and when we found ourselves without a model, she jumped in feet first and said, "I'll do it!"

Lori assisted in picking out the funky patent pumps to model and was then propped up on a platform for about an hour modeling various shoes. Boy was she a natural!

We played her favorite music in the background and it wasn't long before she amazed us with her original poses!

THIS WEEK'S HOT LIST: Enzo Angiolini Maylie

Lori's online chart topper should come as no surprise this week. What's not to love about the classy, sexy, sophisticated... and affordable... Maylie from Enzo Angiolini?

The Maylie follows the form of past favorites. It's versatile (no need to change between the office and happy hour!); it's timeless (black patent, stiletto, peep toe. hello!); and it's easy on our wallets ($56!).

While the Maylie in black was the preferred style this third week of April, the ivory version has been an in-store show stopper. Lori's thinks shoppers are attracted to its shiny, croc embossed upper. We are!

Thanks, Maylie, for keeping our steps light and our wallets heavy.

LORI'S UPDATE: Round toes, thick heels

Are you searching for something new and exciting to temporarily replace your pointed toe pump? Look no further! We fell head over heels for the Steve Madden Myra that embodies everything that's hot for the season- a round toe and thick heel!

Although spring is right around the corner (yesss!) a girl can never own too many heels. Why not change things up a little bit with this sassy pump?

It pairs perfectly with skinny jeans, or a tunic dress- which we are seeing everywhere. A hot patent clutch, like Amici's chain clutch, finishes it all off.

THIS JUST IN AT LORI'S: Lola Cruz pumps and flats

Love, beauty and youth spring eternal this time of year, and no designer embodies the season's romantic aura better than Spain's Lola Cruz.

Her soft and feminine creations have arrived at Lori's (hurrah!), encouraging us to picture them with some of our current most wanted print dresses and lace skirts.

Perhaps our favorite Lola Cruz style is this precious little pump. The shoe's woven upper is the perfect example of Cruz' "twisting" technique which gives it a distinct and high quality appearance. A sweet ribbon tops it all off, adding to the pump's overall allure... be still our shoe-loving hearts!

Like the pump but prefer a flat? No worries. Lola Cruz' twisting technique can also be found in flat form.

STYLE WATCH: As Seen in People: Dionne

Direct from the pages of People magazine's May style issue, Lori's is proud to present the Dionne from oh Deer!


This slingback denim dish is one of the magazine's favorite shoes for spring and we couldn't agree more. Not only does this thick platform wedge look adorable with this season's baby doll and trapeze dresses, it's comfortable and edgy enough to make a smart statement.


Plus, we have a feeling the blue-jeaned Dionne is giving us a glimpse into this fall's 70s-driven fashions (oooh. ahhh!). Stay tuned...

LORI'S UPDATE: Our Sandals Impress

Never mind the snow that fell on our Chicago sidewalks today (yikes!), Lori's is in a summer state of style mind!

Our stacks are filled with fabulous sandals of all shapes and sizes, including espadrilles, thongs, dressy sandals and wedges. Whatever your occasion; whatever your wish, Lori's has styles to impress!

One of our favorites is the MIA Island in yellow, red, black or white patent. The Island is a comfy little half flip-flop, half slingback creation at an awesome value (under $30!).

The yellow version is a perfect mate to our also sunshine-y Adrienne Vittadini clutch, while we favor the white to match Le Chic's adorable crotched hobo.

THIS WEEK'S HOT LIST: Looking good, Tamera!

Stepping into the ranks of Lori's best seller list this week is the Tamera flat by Nicole.

It's a dandy and colorful little flat (perhaps taking a cue from our Spring Top Ten?!) with soft leather, a round toe, and cute C buckle. And at $74, nearly impossible to resist!

We're fancying the gold version, with its subtle yet chicly metallic sheen and surprising versatility. In Lincoln Park we've seen ladies pair it with a flowy floral skirt as easily as they have with a cropped jacket and a great pair of jeans (oh and large, brassy hoops of course!).

If metallics aren't to your taste, check it out in classic black or gorgeous lipstick red.

STYLE WATCH: Keep your hair up!

Spring's a time when we can ditch our winter coats, pack away our snow boots and finally let our hair down... at least metaphorically.

Why? Because at Lori's, we'll be holding our hair back with some of our favorite new headbands!

Just arrived in the store are chic coif keepers from Susan Daniels, Sanibel and L. Erickson. What we like about this year's 'bands is the wide array of patterns and bold, bright colors.

Calling all movie lovers!

Lori's is proud to be one of the city's exclusive distributors of FREE (hurrah!) passes to a special screening of Perfect Stranger starring Halle Berry and Bruce Willis.

The screening takes place, Monday, April 9th at 7 pm at the AMC Theater on 600 N. Michigan.

Passes are available at the front counter of Lori's Lincoln Park location. Each "ticket" admits you and a guest.
