Seven Signs of a Shoe Addiction

Do you get the shakes when a you see a shoe sale? (Test: Lori's sale is up to 50% off right now!) Can't go even one day without scanning our New Arrivals? Do shoes just keep whispering your name, softly and seductively? Well, my dear, you may be a shoe addict. No need to stress! We can help. As a veteran supplier to shoe addicts everywhere, we thought it only appropriate to help you identify the symptoms.
  1. You slip the word into your professional qualifications: "Lori Andre, Phd., Wedges"
  2. Imelda Marcos is still your idol ... even if you were born post-1986! You secretly wish her 3,000 pairs of shoes had been exiled to your closet.
  3. Hoarding: one color per style isn't enough. I mean, who knows what which event will call for?
  4. You prefer shoe shopping over ... well, everything.
  5. You prefer your paycheck be deposited directly into our merchant account.
  6. You need a closet strictly for shoes ... maybe another for boots. And it's not like your other accessories wouldn't benefit from one as well.
  7. Your email pops up first in our customer service email auto-complete.
Is this you? If you answered "yes" or "maybe" or "hey, back off" to four or more of the above, you are addicted. Congratulations! Enjoy the soundtrack to your new life:

Carrie from My barestyle – an addict in the know. She began her career like the rest of us, deperately blogging to feed an addiction. Not finding the finds she wanted, she took matters into her own hands. Her online store, shopseventhdoor.com, carries the brands Carrie wanted to see. We're excited for her perspective from both sides of the register.

Style It: Shoes and the City -- Charlotte

Cosabella lingerie has issued the official undergarments for the new Sex and the City movie and our good friends over at Isabella Fine Lingerie are stocking them. Each week, we will show another lingerie collection and have you style it. All comments with links to shoes in our catalog will be entered to win a personal, 20% discount! Last week we accessorized the Miranda. This week we turn our eye to the feminine Charlotte!

The collection is a blend of girly femininity and casual, elegant sexuality. Eternally optimistic, light and comfortable, the Charlotte collection is made from a blend of ultra-soft modal and eco-friendly bamboo fiber.

We chose to match this with shoes that were eternally stylish without sacrificing comfort or falling victim to trends.

We chose shoes by Progetto, Enzo Angiolini, Caparros and Poetic Licence.

And now we want to know how you would style it. Take a look below, read up on the rules and start styling, you maven you!

The rules: Find a shoe in our online store that best compliments the Charlotte collection. Link to it in the comments of this post and describe why you chose what you chose. Style-a-thon ends Saturday, 31 May at midnight; we'll post the winning pairing the following week. Winner gets a private code for 20% off their next online purchase at Lori's. Happy styling!

Style It: Shoes and the City -- Miranda

As you all know, Cosabella lingerie has issued the official undergarments for the new Sex and the City movie and our good friends over at Isabella Fine Lingerie are stocking them. Each week, we will show another lingerie collection and have you style it. All comments with links to shoes in our catalog will be entered to win a personal, 20% discount! We started last week with the Samantha. This week we turn our eye to the willowly Miranda!

The collection is a blend of cosmopolitan confidence with a hidden soft side. Made of tulle with a contrasting scalloped lace trim, it's sexy under careerwear and killer in more intimate settings.

We chose shoes by Jeffrey Campbell, Calvin Klein, Gastone Lucioli and Seychelles that have professional leanings with a bit of glam and after-hours fun thrown in.
